GRAEF, a full-service engineering, planning and design firm, has named John Ostrowski as Madison Business Development Leader, further strengthening its commitment to one of Wisconsin’s most dynamic and fast-growing markets.

In this role, Ostrowski will serve as a key connection point for clients across the Madison region, helping owners, developers and partners bring their vision to life through GRAEF’s integrated engineering and design expertise. He will focus on building and strengthening relationships, identifying opportunities early in the planning process, and ensuring clients are supported from initial concept through successful project delivery.

Ostrowski brings more than 20 years of experience in AEC business development and market leadership, with a strong track record of building trusted client partnerships and advancing work across healthcare, industrial, life sciences, higher education, and mission-critical/data center markets.

“John brings a client-first mindset, strong market insight and a relationship-driven approach that fits seamlessly with how we serve our clients,” said Mike Vogel, Chief Strategy Officer at GRAEF. “He understands how to connect people, priorities and opportunities in a way that helps clients move projects forward with clarity and confidence, and that will be a tremendous asset in Madison.”

GRAEF’s Madison office has been embedded in the community for more than three decades and continues to play an active role in shaping some of the region’s most visible and impactful projects. The firm was part of the design team selected for the Lake Monona Waterfront Design Challenge, is currently part of the project team for the Center for Black Excellence and Culture and maintains a long-standing partnership with the University of Wisconsin–Madison, including recent work on the Phillip A. Levy Engineering Center. These projects reflect GRAEF’s commitment to helping clients bring bold ideas to life and deliver lasting value to the greater Madison community.

Leadership of the Madison office transitioned to Richard DeSimone in March 2025, further positioning the office for continued growth and impact across the region.
