Tee up for a great cause at the Friends of MSCR Golf Outing
Madison, WI - The Friends of MSCR (Madison School & Community Recreation) will host its 22nd annual Fore Friends Golf Outing on Wednesday, July 15, at The Oaks Golf Course. The event raises critical funds to support public recreation programs across the Madison area.
The tournament will feature a scramble format designed to accommodate golfers of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced players. Registration for a foursome includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch, and participation in various on-course games and contests throughout the day.
This isn’t just a typical day on the green; it’s a chance to invest in Madison’s vital public recreation. Since 2003, Friends of MSCR has raised over $690,000 to fund essential initiatives ranging from free community center arts programs to diverse afterschool clubs for students in grades K-12.
"Every year, this outing brings the community together for a fantastic day on the course, but the real triumph is how these funds transform lives throughout the year," said Mary Roth, MSCR Executive Director. "The funds we raise are vital in ensuring that children and families in Madison have access to high-quality, enriching recreation and afterschool programs."

Valued Sponsors Needed
The annual golf outing wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of local community sponsors.
